Osprey (Pandion haliaetus)

This osprey is one of the parents I observed midday today, Aug. 19th at the northern part of Stony Creek Metropark nature center, Macomb County, Michigan, USA. The nest is located on top of a TV tower three miles from our home.
I watched both parents approach the nest, feeding an almost adult chick, then circling overhead before flying off to hunt for more food.

How did you find doing something with the whole group (virtually, obviously)?

(I noticed you said on my guestbook you had a hard time adding your photo - glad you figured it out!)
Doerthe club has replied to raingirl clubI was going to try to get a decent landscape photo of the park a pair of Bald Eagles call home. That was the reason I went to there. I also saw one of the eagles high above me circling, but could not get any photos, the bird was flying too high.
raingirl club has replied to Doerthe clubI find it interesting that many people, when asked about their camera, put down the camera that they are using. I find that the camera doesn't matter so much, but instead how well we know the camera we are using.
Doerthe club has replied to raingirl clubThanks for a great experience with your idea of the Aug. 19 photo collection. I truly enjoyed taking part in it.
