This was 'our' female hummingbird.***
***I am always amazed at their skill, because the female raises the chicks by herself. The male only provides his genes to the process, nothing else. She builds the nest, incubates the eggs, and wards off any danger.

Yes, she was. And she chased a male away anytime he wanted to have a turn at our feeder.
