This morning there was a pair of wood ducks on the pond. I managed to get a few photos of the male.

These were the first of a hundred or more Canada geese and snow geese that arrived in this grassy area for the evening.

For several weeks, there have been hooded mergansers on my pond in the morning. Sometimes they stay there much of the day. There are as many as ten birds.

Late afternoon at Noxubee National Wildlife Refuge. This buck was watching several does as they came from the forest to this open area of grass.

I have the same problem at home with cardinals. I tie bags over the mirrors so the birds can't see their reflection.

The two herons were slowly walking through the shallow water of the Tennessee River. The egret also participated in the dance.
