The day dawned bright, sunny and cold so I decided on a stroll over to town for my Sunday shop.
I checked the live weather report and it was -1c feeling like -3c. Cold enough but with very little wind and sunshine things were set fair.
I donned my ankle supports, back brace, thermal socks, long Johns and vest,t shirt, sports shirt, fleece, hiking boots, heavy hiking trousers, scarf,Benny hat, winter coat and thermal gloves. Only then was I ready for the off. I soon warmed up walking steadily but carefully because of ice patches. I was as sure footed as a mountain goat thanks to my boots,I was only going to Morrison's today for my pipe fodder and some chunks of dead animals to replenish my badly depleted stock.
I was early setting off and when I left Morrisons £32 lighter and a full back pack and shopping bag found it was 35 minutes to bus time. Not wanting to hang about in the cold I started off walking home. I arrived home at 11:15 the time the bus was leaving to come here. I was glad to get home with no injuries or pain. It was good to get out of the back brace and I now have an idea of how the ladies felt when they removed their corsets with a big sigh and a lot of belly scratching which is just what I did. Still the brace worked and that's what matters..
A good mornings work and a chance to relax and watch a game before starting dinner.
