The morning was very serene and water still on the Naistenlahti harbor.

Sokos Hotel Torni seen from Ratinan Kulma (previously Vuoltsu). After the opening of new shopping centre Ratina, this scene has recently become very popular for amateur photographers around Tampere region.

Found from vaults. Picture taken in 2016. Looks like I have missed most of the 2016 here at ipernity. That is when the situation looked so uncertain for ipernity, and therefore I posted most of my images to YouPic instead. UPDATE: Location of the building added onto right margin. But the picture is taken from Pyynikki view tower, 2.4 kilometers (1.5 miles) west.

Seen from behind Tullintori buildings. Update: Testing IrfanView editor after very long time, and discovered the followings. IrfanView is easy to use for resizing the images and canvas size. There are also several nice effects under menu 'Image > Effects > Effects Browser...'. I updated the image with 'Stretch Histogram' and 'Rock'. That treatment gave better colors and an interesting intentionally "over sharped" look. Recommended work flow is to resize first down to 2000 something pixels, because number of effects are relatively minimum, and has very small effect on very large images. I also manage to solve the missing EXIF issue. Instead of using 'File > Save for Web...', it is better to use 'File > Save As...'. I could not made it to change the missing EXIF here, but it will keep EXIF when uploading as new.

I have also taken quite many shots of it already: www.ipernity.com/tag/serola/keyword/5190100 The personal challenge is to find 50 new ways to photograph and edit the images of this tower. Shooting part is easy because the tower is only two blocks away from my home, and I walk past of it almost every day. Therefore it should be rather easy to capture it in different times of day and year, and in different weather. But then I of course also try to implement everything I have learned about ways to compose and edit images.

...on same old subject is fun. I followed (or tried to follow) my own two year old instructions to replicate the effect. It kind of worked. Although, some adjustment on layer opacity were needed, and "outlines" could be thinner. Within two years there's a new hotel building erected, which now fills the opening between the office buildings.
