The Round Tower, Portsmouth Harbour

22 Oct 2021 19 22 220
Situated at the entrance to Portsmouth Harbour, the Round Tower was built around 1418 to defend the entrance to Portsmouth Harbour and prevent raids on the city by French ships. It is a Grade II listed building. Nowadays, it is a popular place for people to gather to watch ships entering and leaving the harbour. This was taken on a grey, misty day, so converting the image to black and white seemed the right way to go as there wasn't much colour anyway. Please view large for best effect.
