Happy Bench Monday everyone. This was taken around midday in Exmouth, Devon (where I've been away visiting family for the past 10 days) and was pretty typical of the weather. The sun just couldn't muster enough warmth to burn off the mist. Now I'm back I'll do my best to catch up with you all over the next week, even if it's just to leave a yellow star :-) I hope you all have a good week!

Taken at Hayling Island, Hampshire. This surfer (on some sort of electrically controlled surfboard) was the only person I saw out on the water. There are some vessels just visible along the horizon, but generally visibility was not good. It didn't take much effort to make this this black and white :-)))

This is the boat that landed us on Skokholm in very low visibility, but calm seas, I took this on my phone as I was walking up the hill to the accommodation. The orange dumper truck (driven by the Warden) collects luggage and carries it up the hill.......and subsequently delivers it back to the harbour on leaving. together with bags of recyclable waste to be taken to the mainland. Just as well, as most people have 3 or 4 bags each.

It was very, very misty on top of Old Winchester Hill this afternoon. The low visibility didn't deter this Para Glider pilot though!

A bit of a "black and white" day at Hayling Island this lunchtime, with high winds and a very strong sun creating a haze on the horizon. My eye was drawn to this lone windsurfer heading out into the heavy seas. Trying out a new lens too.

Taken on a really damp, cold and misty morning.......when the sun was beginning to burn off the mist. I wasn't sure about this one at first and I wasn't going to post it, but it's growing on me. I think it's very atmospheric. Please view large, on black..........
