Sight and Sound and NOT TSC Mother Nature, I love your humor/humour. After spending the last week trying to find even one bird to photograph for "The Sunday Challenge" (and finally having to go to the local pet shop for my photo) opportunity flew in and landed in a tree right in front of me today. This pretty "Northern Flicker" stayed long enough for me to get this shot just in the "nick of time." NOT TSC Sight and Sound "Half-light" (looks good in the dark!) This was an extra photo for TSC's latest challenge. This is my son's lava lamp on the kitchen counter with the refrigerator in the background. I used the "mirror" effect in PicMonkey on it so now there are two lava lamps! I went looking for a song with the word "lava" in it and found this adorable animated short from Pixar. I hope you will enjoy it as much as I did! NOT TSC "Photographer" My grandpa was a photographer, so for this challenge I've created a collage in his honor. That's him in the big picture surrounded by some of the photos he took and processed in his own darkroom. I think he especially enjoyed photographing his family. Man's (other) best friend. I noticed this sleeve from a 1970's album the other day and really liked this picture by A & M Records. I just added a texture from PicMonkey to dress it up a bit.

What a great sunset last night.

I wanted to challenge myself to taking pictures in public, which I didn't do for this challenge, so this morning while shopping I got my camera out and took some pictures at the market. It was funny the different reactions from people. The ladies at the sushi bar were shy and didn't want to be in the picture. They said "you need someone younger" lol. The guy at the meat market was a total "ham" and the guy offering samples of flavored drinks was totally cool with it so I made him the star of the collage. It was really fun, but not without near tragedy. Right past the Asian Candy aisle I accidentally bumped my ISO setting from 160 to 6400. !!! So anyway, some pics are better than others. I hope you enjoy my brave outing. :)
