Another beautiful Mk2 Golf as seen at VW North West 2011 . Can't confirm the precise year for this one as official records now show the registration assigned to a Vauxhall Combo van, but the plate at the time would suggest it was either 1987 or 1988. Hope the car is still around though as it was an absolute stunner.

I spotted this gorgeously menacing and beautifully crafted chopper travelling though Northallerton yesterday. I actually had to run after it and just managed to grab this shot when it stopped briefly at the traffic lights. Due to the circumstances, not exactly the best shot I've ever taken, hence me taking time to do some post-processing on it, but I thought it worth sharing. Probably best viewed large on black if you have the time and inclination to do so. Apologies to the owner if he happens to come across my photostream for the dramatic title, but it was crying out for it as it was a genuinely awesome and dramatic sight as it rumbled though our little market town. I'm sure he's a really nice guy, but at the same time I'd not have been surprised if this orange beast had left a trail of flames Johnny Blaze style in its wake! Which leads me to "Ghost Riders in the Sky" for Sight and Sound . Thought I'd upload a shot of Lily, my old Scirocco to celebrate the fact that, as of yesterday, she's now officially back on the road for the summer season. This shot wasn't taken this year though, instead it was one of a series I did when she was last out back in September 2014 prior to going off the road for the winter.

Not really a classic or at least not as old as it looks, but certainly a classically styled car. Seen this at a few of the local shows now and it's one of the cleanest examples of this particular marque that I've come across.

JBA has been building classically modelled cars since 1982. The original company, JBA Engineering, was named after the first letter of the surnames of the three partners that founded the company, Ken Jones, John Barlow and Dave Ashley. John Barlow later left the company and JBA Engineering continued producing kit car packages until 2004, when the company was sold. Since the sale no kit or factory built cars have been made, and in 2007 JBA Engineering was dissolved by Companies House. In 2008, JBA Motors set in motion plans to re-engineer and resurrect the JBA Falcon, and 2011was relaunched at The National Kit Car Motor Show - Stoneleigh. Spotted this little Caddy in the car park. Clean, tidy, understated and riding on a nice set of period G60 steels ... great little truck!

The Ford Capri 280 was perhaps the ultimate Capri and is much sought after today. When you see one this good you can understand why and that's before you've even got behind the steering wheel.

The Honda Super Cub, in its various versions such as the C100, C50, C70, C90, C100EX, and C70, has been in continuous manufacture since 1958. This one is from 1987 and what intrigued me most about it were the solid spoke wheels ... never seen these before.

Another 'hot' Sierra for all you Ford lovers ... this time a RS Cosworth.
