Double exposure of a small section of a Cleo de Rosy advertisement from 1967 and a photograph of some very old ballot pencils lined up in the slats of a modern domestic heating radiator. The advertisement appeared in 'Nova' magazine in 1967. 'Voting versus Advertising' might be taken as a clash of ideas between politics and commerce, but the longer I think about it, the more I see that they are inter-dependent and entwined. It is therefore a matter of philosophy.

This appeared in 'Nova' magazine of September, 1969. It is a still from Claude Chabrol's film 'Les Biches' of 1968. The actors in the photograph are Jacqueline Sassard and Stephanie Audran. I've never seen the film, and I don't know one actor from the other. Feel free to add detail and opinion. It's all very French and avant-garde.
