I get the feeling that nobody drank anything but scotch, bourbon, and whiskey back then. They take up about 2/3rds of the catalog. I think the other liquors were just thrown in there for appearance's sake.

"Everything you'll need to know about entertaining, or gift-giving, you'll find in these information-packed pages..." Well, sort of. There were plenty of cocktail and snack recipes mixed in with the ads. Also measuring guides, instructions for cooking with wine, and that helpful calendar ( "Resolve to call us when in low spirits!" Ouch.) Somehow, they overlooked phone numbers for local cab companies, though. Or some crossword puzzles/word search games for the poor bored sap who was stuck being designated driver.
