"Banana Splits: 4 bananas, Apricot jam, crushed Smith's Potato Crisps, whipped cream for topping. "Peel bananas. Brush with a thick coating of apricot jam. Coat with crisps. Pipe cream on each banana. Place a teaspoonful of jam in a paper forcing bag, remove tip of bag, pipe jam on cream. Serve immediately." You can see the pie down below crying a river of sympathy tears for its fruity friends. Originally posted to flickr on Jan. 29th, 2011, making it probably my very first post over there. Still embarrassed, too. But what's done (to a crisp) is done. :P

It's kind of impressive that they kept those Soviet onion-top bottles alive during the height of the Cold War.
