The success of Marvel's comic adaptation of Conan the Barbarian spawned a host of imitators, both from Marvel itself as well as rival comic giant D.C. In the spring of 1975, D.C. blitzed the newsstands with characters like Claw the Unconquered, Kong the Untamed, and Tor the Caveman, featured here in "the eternal battle for existence!"

Jack Kirby was already a legend when he offered up this one-shot about a colorful group of urban misfits for DC in 1975. By then, Kirby was essentially given free editorial reign over the scripts as well as the art. The result - an attempt at resurrecting the kid gang, a concept Kirby himself had so much success with in the golden age of comics with groups like the Newsboy Legion and the Boy Commandos, as well as the lesser-known Boy's Ranch and Tough Kid Squad.
First Issue Special - The Dingbats of Danger Street - Issue No. 6, September 1975.
Art by Jack Kirby, just in case you missed that over-sized signature blurb!
