My Uncle Maurice and Auntie Vera at the top of the waterfall at Devil's Hopyard State Park, CT, 1969.

My mother took this and just surprised my Uncle Maurice - but when we got the photo back we laughed like crazy, as it appeared to be a set up job with the tree apparently falling on his head!

Re-posted for the Vintage Photos Theme Park theme of: OUTDOORS AT NIGHT
Probably my all time favorite concert, this was taken in Hartford, Connecticut, in the spring of 1973. This was Paul Simon's first concert on the Kodachrome tour and the first time he had played without Garfunkel in years.
It was an amazing night.
He played with the Peruvian band Los Incas and also sang the most unbelievable version of "Bridge Over Troubled Water" backed up by a fabulous gospel choir.
He played the most breathtakingly beautiful acoustic version of "American Song". I was sad when I heard the album version, it seemed so over orchestrated compared to what had been simple and perfect.
I took these pictures with a clunky, ancient but great Argus camera someone gave to me. I developed them in a friend's darkroom. and they're less than perfect, I know, but I love them as reminders of the one of the best concerts ever.
I confess this is a little bit of a cheat because it's not "outdoors" but I couldn't find any of those so I just followed the "at night" theme.

Brief tourist-y photo stop at this weird as hell (haha) named state park in northwest Connecticut. On our way up to their new home in Vermont.

I'm In the States now - I have no school photos for 5th or 6th grade.
This is the beginning of 7th grade in 1966. I'm 12.
Clearly I'm over-compensating for my earlier horridly short bangs - a happy medium would have been nice - I look like a lanky sheepdog.

Happy Birthday, Helen!

Me holding Helen in Fairfield, 1967. I so wanted her to be my little sister!
Happy Birthday Helen - you sure were adored!
This picture was taken on the day my grandparents returned to England, stopping by Weeping Willow Lane at the Browns on the way to Kennedy Airport.
That hideous dress I'm wearing was made of some thin foam type material and was what I had chosen to wear the first day of 8th grade. : )
I'm thirteen.

My Nana and Grandad, William and Ann Gregory, came over to visit in 1967.
Here they are visiting the Browns in Fairfield and perhaps meeting Helen for the first time as she was born over here.
Happy Birthday Helen!

i suppose this is not technically a found picture. It was given to me by a high school friend who knew I collected old photographs and found this in her grandmother's attic when she (the grandmother) passed away. The youngest girl is my friend's adopted mother's mother. On the back I wrote "Regents, New Haven"
Given to me in New Haven Connecticut in the early 1970's.
