English c. late 1950s, early 1960s

I never played with these paper dolls - in fact I actively disliked everything about them - from their simpering faces to their frumpy clothes. My older cousin Pat gave them to me when I was probably 5 or 6 and I held on to them grudgingly for years - not able to throw them out ( I couldn't quite do that since I believed, on some level, they were alive) but never, ever playing with them. And you know - they still look just as hopelessly uncool and gormless to me, today. Freda, sister of Fred, is missing but, trust me, she was just as annoyingly unappealing.

Looking at the drop waist dress,I'd guess this is 1962/63.
