Hey wait ..... don't give up.

What a great fun idea you have here. I think things are just stuck with the traffic cone. How about coming up with a time limit if there are no takers on moving the play along? After so many days, whoever posted the last photo can try again with a new start-over photo or leave it open to the membership to start again.
Also, how about being able to take any element out of the photo to move it on? If you look at Sami's great traffic cone photo as an example - you could move the play on by taking the legs and/or feet and/or shoes to the next shot. Maybe the element does not need to be specified with a note .... maybe let members pick out their own element?
I just got here and would like to join in but I don't know about going out a taking a photo of a traffic cone. Let me know if you want help with the admin.

Way to go, Rueben. I stuck another one on even though I am not sure that it relates to the element of the previous one. The note was a bit cryptic.
I still wonder if this would work better without the "D=notes" and let the viewer take their own element out of the active photo.

Hi Dave, you have to take one element from the previous picture. In this case I thought the dry plants were the "dominoed" elements from the previous picture. And I took over with the orange sky in your picture. Another group member can either contribute another orange sky - picture or a picture of an archer or a roof etc.

Hi Dave, sorry I'm not so often online as I wish I could. (to answer such queries ;-)

the rules of the domino group _are_ quite simple, one is allowed to select _any_ element of the previous picture in the group, but the element has to be specified in the note.

sometimes the same element is chosen by several subsequent posters, but it's not a rule

it's a pitty this grup has lost some of its appeal, partially due to leaving or deleted members, so many pictures inbetween are missing, and the game slightly broken

Malona: Thanks for addressing my inquiry. To be clear, the person posting the photo (that contains the previous noted element) - to go to the next one creates the note specifying the element, correct? I think the confusion might be that we must use the element in the note and not choose any element we wish from the previous photo. (I haven't explained it very well .... sorry.)

Hi Dave, I'm sorry, I think my explication was not correct:
you just have to look closely (or not so closely ;-) to the last picture posted to the group. then you chose any element of that picture, if real or an idea, and post a picture containing that element. Just add a note to your picture: Domino: "linking element"

@Dave: for example you can chose to add a picture containig shadows, or gravel, or, or, or...anything you "see" in the last picture posted... (that would be mine in the moment)

Im Moment hängt es leider wieder mal ein wenig..... Ich weiß allerdings auch nicht, was man da so wirklich gegen tun kann. Ich habe aktuell jedenfalls nichts passendes zum Anlegen mehr.
