Ubisoft says always-on DRM is 'a success'.

"DRM [requires] that players be constantly connected to the internet for the game to function."

Great. So the future is you won't be allowed to play video games on your console unless you're online. What if my internet goes down and I want to play a game? Good thing I have enough "out-dated" consoles with games that will still work.

I hope this doesn't catch on too quickly or I may have to pass on all future consoles generations. I like being able to go back and play some old games. This sounds like it could be just another barrier in the way of that.
