Merlin Bird ID app

A free APP for Apple or Android systems
From Cornell Labs.
Picture in picture shows the original photo. I was amazed this app could ID a Tree Pipit from so few pixels.
BUT the best feature of the app is it includes SOUND ID.
You know all those surveys that ask “Would you recommend our product/shop/service etc. ?”.
I usually answer with a middle score and say I wouldn’t dare recommend anything to anyone (even if I think it’s OK). BUT this is an exception if you have one of those fancy smartphones and are even slightly interested in what was that bird singing over there ? I recommend it.
This is a revelation and a real bringer of joy ( for me at least)

PS: I use an Android phone, so I've no idea if BirdNET works on Apple as well.
