The last Grapefruit spoon

The last Grapefruit spoon
Bought in the 1970s we think and then there were 4. 2 Went on a self catering holiday and only 1 came back. 1 was mangled into an unusable state down a Waste Disposal unit (Remember them, does anyone still have them ?) and 1 Dad probably put in the green waste when we were just getting used to Green recycling bins.

So it's the last one and has been rarely used for this specific use for many years BUT I saw and opportunity and bought 2 White Grapefruit and it brightened up breakfast.

Keith Burton, Aschi "Freestone", Frans Schols have particularly liked this photo

I've not heard of a Grapefruit spoon Colin, 1n the 60/70s was a world of opportunity and things were invented and manufactured to cover the smallest of inconveniences, fish knives, sugar spoons, jam spoons, sugar cube tongs, tea spoons, desert spoons, coffee spoons, soup spoons, oh the list goes on. Good hobby today is collecting them. Incidently we have was six now five bone handled dinner knives from circa 1935. They make great butter knives.
