Am I right in thinking that bread is still delivered to your doorstep Colin? When I was a lad 65 years ago we had Bread, Fruit & Veg and R Whites lemonade (Those bottles with the flip top) Deliver on different days of the week. I would not be surprised to see some of these trades re-emerge after the virus crisis is over.

This is our first delivery of bread to the door in this century but as say it has all happened before. When I was young living just south of Glasgow yes like you bread, veg was delivered as was the coal ..... My says when I was about 3or 4 years old I would march around the house with a pillow at my back and shout COAL! COAL! Happy days. on it with all sorts of drinks from R Whites to Schweepes. Do you remember Dandelion and Burdock flavour ?
