how did you dye it? looks like an interesting process.

Treated the fabric lightly with alum, then wrapped stuff (onion skins, rusty things, ferns etc) tightly in it and boiled it in a kettle for a hour or so. Left it sit outside overnight and then unwrapped and rinsed it. This was one of my favourites, it turned out better than most.
