Ladders

Ladders
After swimming the final stretch through one of the narrowest canyons in the world, we arrived at the hidden Kavac cave and waterfalls. The south flank off one of the rocky skirts of Auyántepui (Devil's Mountain) provides the seemingly endless supply of water. This is a shot of the lower left side of the cave. Our fearless Pemón Indian guide scales the mineral-rich, slippery rocks, finally diving directly into the falls to delight us. Of course, he was happily tipped by nearly everyone in the group.

Note: There is only one diver in the shot. The others are super-imposed - extracted from additional shots in the series to suggest height and scale.
