Hi Diana

I really like this, and the logic challenge it poses...

I see four mutually exclusive possibilities...
1) Swim, and get eaten
2) Swim and survive, but the officials don't see you
3) Swim and survive, then get caught and pay the fine
4) Don't swim.

Then consider the probability of (2) versus { the enjoyment gained from swimming, plus the probability of (1) and (3) together }.

To my simple way of thinking, I'd forget swimming, and photograph the crocodiles!
