Kolkata is perhaps the most photogenic city in India. Comparing to the old Delhi, the old Calcutta seems so inviting and calm. Of course, I would not be coming in hot months or during the durgapuja.

It is my favourite Indian city. Have been there 4 times. It still has so much that is the old, chaotic India…and is extraordinarily photogenic. We did a two person walking tour of a lot of hidden gems with a fabulous Sikh guy, for 4 hours one early morning. I love Bengalis too..,they are the best..interesting, erudite, friendly…

Oh, yea - Manjit Singh is a legend. We were also happy to select his walk which gave us the fabulous opportunity to get close to the locals, and not to be observed as a westerners with big cameras :D
The best part of the photo gallery in Kolkata was taken during the said walk www.ipernity.com/doc/havran/album/885812
