I am away for a month. I leave you with an uncropped picture of a wild freshwater crocodile in Lake Argyle, far north west Australia.

It is with Heritage cruises. It runs the Antarctic in Aussie summer and this is a once in a year expedition for 50 people in a converted icebreaker down the coast of Kamchatka. It is NZ company and. Russian boat...a joint venture. A lot of it is in gumboots and impervious layers landing in zodiacs and clomping about in wilderness...
To get there we fly tomorrow to San Francisco .....then later to Nome with a charter flight in a small plane to the Russian arctic town if Anadyr. We head South from there and at the end fly to Beijing, then home.
I am feeling quite jittery now at the thought.......
