The red soils can be amazing after rain....at this time of the year a small shower results a few days later in prolific carpets of delicate flowers....rapid to germinate and bloom. Most of the time, there is no rain at all, however. The plants depicted here grow in totally arid conditions. Deserts, though up to 50+ degrees in summer, can be cold at night...these plants grow on the slight dew after cold nights. The road is basically like red talcum powder.....have a good evening, Leonora xxxxx
