Blue-tongue lizard
This is an Eastern Blue-tongue lizard. These are the largest members of the skink family and are found across eastern and northern Australia. This one was near my house. They can grow to about 600mm and are harmless, though capable of giving a substantial bite. Most usefully, they eat slugs and snails.

Later note of clarification : these are not prunes but mixed fruit, mainly raisins (grapes).

If getting this image had given me a headache, at least a cure was nearby. :-)
Waiting at the airport
In the passenger terminal at Canberra Airport (see also PiP). I can only presume that these statues must have been fully dressed when they arrived, but that they disrobed after an airconditioning failure while they have waited for their flight!
