borough market, london

the market here has taken off in a big way recently by concentrating on food, and thankfully it still retains most of its shabbiness. decades ago when I worked nightshifts on building sites in the city I'd come here for breakfasts at 6 a.m. with irish crews who knew where to get a drink at that time of day,as pubs in the market were allowed different hours.
