the globe, borough market

somewhat battered c19 pub within borough market. thankfully the area has yet to be tidied out of its character, retaining much excellent victorian squalour. years ago working nights on city building sites I'd accompany gangs of irish navvies down here in search of a 6 a.m. drink, the pubs round the market being allowed different hours; now it's all tourists and organic food.
