seen from the north only the blocked norman doorway and the base of the c13 tower look old. unfortunately, the interior has been treated even worse in 2007 than clarke's restoration of 1860, and looks more like a dull modern office than an old church, with acres of harsh slick new flooring and glass walling the worst offenders. even the best monument has been glassed in behind a tubular steel railing. those philistines responsible surely have their own circle in hell, dante must have missed it.
