royal arms of queen anne of 1707-14 on the shield, despite the georgian cipher above and the wrong motto for anne, both probably added in 1791 when a mr. heath repainted the arms. it is said that the overpainted date 1688 has been seen on the arms, and an inspection of the photo reveals a much larger higher garter existed once on these boards, which an x-ray would reveal.
