john the baptist, stoke-by-clare
the doom in the n.e.chapel dates from c.1550, and is difficult to see behind the organ. this is a detailed doom, with angels carrying cross and pillar in the sky, apostles and prophets gathered around christ seated on a rainbow and all the day of judgement going on all around. it could do with some serious work though, before it becomes totally unreadable
