berden church

tomb of mary scott, c18 with arms containing referance to the roet family with its links to chaucer and john of gaunt. beautifully cut slab, deserves better treatment than to have an altar leg plonked on it. there is a c17 brass also in the chancel which I found covered in wax and equally uncared for.
