It's a beautiful building and sounds very comfortable inside. I had better book my VIP seat well in advance if I am ever that way! Cheers, Rosa.

This is where Amelia used to go, Rosa. If you are going to this cinema, you could nip round to South Street for a Raspberry Rosa. LOL. Thanks for your very kind comment. Cheers, Joe

I've been in there many's the time. On Dad's half day from the jewellers in Bell Street, my Mum and Dad would pick me up from either the Fisher School or the Burgh School, we'd have tea and tablet in a small cafe (no longer there) at the top of Bell Street and make our way either to The New Picture House or The Old Cinema, depending what was being shown. My favourite films were Annie Get Your Gun and The Red Shoes.

I have never been in this cinema, Amelia. The cinema of my childhood was the Rialto in Dumbarton. The building is still in use as a bingo hall. Thanks for your very kind comment. All the best, Joe

Shortly after I posted this comment, Amelia, I was in a coffee shop having a late leisurely breakfast. I was reading the newspapers online, and there was an article saying the aforementioned bingo hall had closed with the loss of seven jobs.
