Technological change

First the real candles became replaced by electronic candles. Then many decorations replaced by plastic correspondence. And finally the whole tree was switched into artificial one.

Technology solved many problems. No risk of fire, no little spiders brought into the house along with a real tree. But is it nothing but "a delusion to believe that the technological changes of our era have rendered irrelevant the wisdom of the ages and the sages."
