High dynamic range...

High dynamic range...
...without a hassle. Taken with Panasonic Lumix TZ60, and using "high Dynamic Effect". Although, I used Elsamuko's National Geographic Script for GIMP to add some local contrasts: sites.google.com/site/elsamuko/gimp/ng

This proves it is possible to create camera sensors and built in software that makes it possible to get so called HDR images in one picture. In other words, sensor has dynamic range high enough already, and/or software can take care of to balance the high differences in light on image.

So much for the Nikon D90 then! :(

Unfortunately progress can't be stopped... Engineers seem to make more and more incredible innovations year after year. And I'm sure this new camera of mine will look helplessly old fashioned after an year or so.

Hi Sami. I have replied to your message. Lots of detail and I am impressed with the control of the wide exposure range here. As you have said to autofantasia in a year or two there will even better cameras but I reckon you have made a very good choice with the TZ60.

Yes, very good for JPEG, which I use all the time. I have no space to work wit large RAW files.

Actually, I'm not a big fan of HDR, but here it looks very good, not too over the top! I like the contrast between the cold outside and the warm light inside and I'm wondering how tidy your desk looks - I would have to clean up one hour! ;-DD

Thanks Dida. Do notice with actual 3-5 image HDR photography, one could even try to get the sky toned down, and show some "gray mess" there. But for me that would definitely be too much.

What comes to my desk, it is actually exceptionally clean on this shot.
