Unsharp mask is an interesting effect to play with. Just as is almost any effect when heavily exaggerated.

Well said, and that is why I'm happy to be an amateur photographer =D Although, I'm sure even a professional photographer can keep on with the curiosity and love to experience new things. And that is what I try to do on my everyday work, to reach that same passion I put into this hobby of mine.
