St. Petri (lokal auch als „Alde Kerke“ bekannt) ist die älteste Pfarrkirche in Soest und eine der ältesten Kirchengründungen in Westfalen. Bereits Ende des 8. Jahrhunderts wurde im Zusammenhang der Sachsenmission Karls des Großen an dieser Stelle ein Kirchbau errichtet.
