Georgenkirche, Backsteingotik

Die Kirche St. Georgen gehört neben St. Marien und St. Nikolai zu den drei monumentalen gotischen Sakralbauten der Wismarer Altstadt. Ausgehend von der Baumasse und dem umbauten Raum ist die um 1295 begonnene Georgenkirche das größte dieser Bauwerke. Zugleich ist es auch der jüngste Kirchenbau und gilt als das Wunder von Wismar. => Georgenkirche
