I recently got a tiny old museum catalog of abstracts by Julius Bissier and was fascinated by them. But what looks simple isn't always so simple to do. So decided to make some watercolor backgrounds and begin with a letter, just as a pretext to be able to continue with collage, watercolor and ink. It isn't an interpretation of the letter or anything alike, the letter becomes just a shape and line element.

Gracias, sumercé. Bissier fue un caso de genio reconocido tarde. Además el hombre parece que era la modestia en persona. Hoy en día ya no es novedoso por supuesto, aunque sus manchas muy sencillas están cargadas de un simbolismo espiritual y al parecer era como él concebía el arte. Ese minimalismo a veces me atrae mucho, tal vez porque tiro a lo contrario y uno admira muchas veces lo que no posee. El catálogo lo estaban casi que regalando y yo apenas lo hojee y quedé uff...
