Alice Rau Greyson, August, 1917 - March 2019

My mother passed away last week in order to pursue other opportunities. It was a peaceful departure free of pain and anxiety as far as we could discern. I am relieved that she has been freed from the conditions that took her sight and much of her mind. She was a charmer but totally without guile and unexceptionally kind to the end. Her unique presence in the family will be greatly missed after so long a reign. Adieu, Alice.

I'm sure her release was a blessing, but despite that, a poignant one, as it would be.
She had a remarkably long time in this world - and a life, it seems, more happy than not.
My sympathy to you and everyone who loved her.
