The juxtaposition of two very different towers

The juxtaposition of two very different towers
In Painshill Park at Cobham.
I think the taller alien looking one is onto a winner as I'm told it has invisible power!
...and it would be folly for the Gothic Tower to try and resist.

Thanks a lot, Keith. It turned out better than I expected, as there was a considerable difference in lighting as well as shapes. Basically it was me being my usual frivolous self and having a break from reality ;-)

A Terrific idea for an image but have to wonder why a pylon just had to be stuck beside a beautiful Gothic tower, wonderful shot though.

I appreciate your thoughts, Roger. Thank you.
Looking at those cables, it does look as if the pylon has purposely been slid in next to the Gothic tower. However, what cannot be seen is the local terrain and these structures are on the top of a hill, so the alternative is likely to have been difficult, more expensive and more unsightly.

The Gothic one has a special magic. It will still be standing when this other one has crumbled to rust.

It may be mock Gothic but I thank you for your truly classical comment.
