Rhingia campestris

Etwas ungewöhnlich sieht sie schon aus, die Feld-Schnabelschwebfliege (Rhingia campestris). Die Schwebfliege erreicht eine Körperlänge von 11 mm und verbirgt in ihrer schnabelartigen Schnauze einen bis zu 13 mm langen Saugrüssel. Damit ist sie in der Lage Nektar aus Blüten mit einem tiefen Kelch zu saugen. Da wird wohl jede andere Fliege neidisch.
