A bit too far really - but I carried on to the 'Stick a twig...'

After playing around for a while you sometimes feel that you have used too many different effects, but sometimes you still go on!
This is an earlier stage of 'Stick a twig on top.' I copied overlapping rectangles of this image and changed their colours using Photoshop colour gradients, so each of the four panels was a different colour combination. Those four layers were give 'drop shadows' and were then merged into one layer and distorted with the 'Distort - shear' tool, which created the curves in the combined top layer. Where the curves push the edge off one side of the curved image, that bit appears at the other edge of the picture's frame. The overall size of this curved top layer was reduced a bit to allow the base layer to be seen. At some point the base layer has been flipped horizontally. It then looked OK but a bit without a focus, so I used a Photoshop 'shape' to create the twig with its leaves and then treated that with my good old 'transparent glass button' effect.
I may have missed out some bits of the process, but those are the basic moves. It's easier to do these abstracts than describe them!
