Limehouse & Rotherhithe from the river - London - 26.5.2015

Photographed from the stern of a river bus, heading upstream. Limehouse is to the left. Rotherhithe, on the other side of the Thames, starts where the dark river wall begins, on the right. Both were poor working class areas with a mixture of dockyards, industry and cheap housing. The riverside on both banks is packed with expensive new developments, loft conversions or upgraded former social housing blocks.
