Flooded fields in the Cuckmere Valley - Sussex - 15.1.2015

Most of our local developments have been created within the town boundaries, often by knocking down existing bungalows and then building higher, or dividing up properties with large gardens into smaller plots. Newhaven is where there could be development at a lower level, albeit on 'brownfield' sites. We are now surrounded by the South Downs National Park, which may give a little more protection until London commuterland spreads even further.
