Trier- Porta Nigra

The Porta Nigra, the emblem of Trier, is the best-preserved Roman city gate north of the Alps, and is on the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage List. The city gate was built in around 170 CE using approximately 7200 blocks of stone, and has been preserved until today thanks to its solid construction.
