Uerzig- Weingut Moenchhof


The Mönchhof, formerly owned by the Cistercian abbey of Himmerod, is one of the oldest wineries on the Moselle. As early as 1177, Pope Alexander III confirmed the first vineyard property of Ürzig Abbey. The monks of Himmerod built the vaulted cellars and in 1509 the present estate building.
