.. not a 'thingamebob' # 2

- taken 16FEB2017
- changes
- some parts will get recycled
- am hoping when this is cleaned up
- it will remain on site as a reminder
- what this once did and now it is still used ( even if only for photo ops )
- just like the 100+ year old Cotton Mill
- slowly turning into useful apartments

Looks like an old header system.
I thought of a well head at first, but the diameter of some of the pipes don't make any sense in this regard,
Also, the size of the flanges indicate that this has not been designed for a very high pressure system.
Perhaps 100 to 150 Lbs at most.
So, maybe, an old water manifold, the nature of the pipes and valves do not indicate natural gas.
But again, in the old days, anything is possible.
Sure is a nice conversation piece though.
The thingamabob theory is still a possibility.
Love talking to you, have a wonderful day.

( Connie is a long-time friend on Flickr - he works with industrial pipes, so that is why I sent him a photo of the 1st shot )

I said I hoped it could be reworked and be left on site as a memorial to the Mill....
That would be really nice !
I like it anyway!
They are working on outdoor areas and putting finishing touches around the windows - that is what is visible.
Think I'll try again either later today or tomorrow ( when we go back to Spring ! )
