.... hanging off a branch of the Buddleia davidii
.... all of a sudden it moved !
.... of course I sat - camera in hand to see what in the world was coming out
.... watched for about an hour [ neighbor came over to see what I was doing - he had no idea what it was either ]
... so, as Pam J said -- bagworms -- remove
.... removed this twiggy looking sack [ not when anything was poking out ]
.... put on the sidewalk to watch somemore
.. .nothing happened
.... so, went inside and got the liquid dish soap
.... back out
.... it had moved from where I left it
.... don't know how many more came out and they disappeared in a heartbeat
..... poked holes in the twiggy looking sack - doused it with full strength soap
.... it hasn't moved
.... looked around the yard this morning and didn't see anything else hanging

... first the Robber Fly -- now this ! And I thought Palmetto bugs were bad ~
